News: Long Co. Health Department to Host Women's Health Fair
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Long County Health Department will host a health fair for women.
The health fair will take place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 30. The event, entitled “Ladies Day on Macon Street,” will take place at the Health Department which is located at 57 North Macon Street in Ludowici.
The Health Department is partnering with the American Cancer Society and Altamaha Technical College to offer free blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, nutritional counseling, HIV testing, breast exams, and bone density scans. In addition, the mobile screening van from Southeast Georgia Health System will be available for tours.
Door prizes will also be given at the event which is free and open to the public.
