“We want to help our area health professionals answer those questions from parents,” says Judy Hartley, Lead Program Coordinator for the Coastal Health District. “It’s important we understand how the chemical lead works and who is at risk for lead poisoning. If we better educate ourselves, we can help our clients reduce their risks and improve their lives.”
The course will be taught by Dr. Anil T. Mangla, Epidemiologist with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, and Forrest Staley with Georgia Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.
