Healthy Living: Health Check for Children
Taking your child for regular check-ups with a doctor or nurse helps keep him or her healthy. That's why the Health Check program offers free well child check-ups and medical care at no charge for PeachCare members under 19 and Medicaid members under 21.
Doctors and nurses will examine the child or teen and give shots against diseases when necessary. They will also ask questions about health problems and tell you what to do to stay healthy. They also tell you where to get other health care.
Health check also offers dental care. Dentists clean teeth and explain how to care for them. They check for and repair cavities and other problems.
Babies, children and adolescents need Health Checks at different ages.
