Community Health Assessment
The mission of the Coastal Health District and the County Boards of Health in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties is to improve the health of those who live, work, and play in those counties by: Preventing illness and injury; Promoting healthy behaviors and; Protecting from harm. Our health assessment is designed to give a snapshot of health status, based on important health problems and behaviors that influence them. It is our hope that the information presented will provide community leaders and organizations with statistics for problem awareness and benchmarks for monitoring change.
