Vaccinations for Adults
Most adults realize the important role of immunizations in infant and child health, but are unaware that vaccines are a necessary part of adult health. Each year in the US, as many as 50,000 adults die from vaccine-preventable diseases or their complications. Check with your county health department or doctor to make sure your own immunizations are up to date.

Vaccine recommendations for adolescents and adults are based on a variety of factors including age, overall health status and medical history. To help you understand what vaccines you (those 11 years and older) might need, you can complete the Adolescent and Adult Vaccine Quiz online. Then print your results and discuss them with your doctor or healthcare professional next time you make an office visit.
