The Glynn County Health Department will hold a Freshstart smoking cessation class on July 14, 15, and 16. The three-day class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on each day at the Glynn County Health Department located at 2747 Fourth Street in Brunswick. Smoking patches are provided, and participants must be 18 years old or older. Freshstart is the American Cancer Society’s smoking cessation program. It is designed to equip tobacco users with the tools they will need to quit for good. Freshstart classes cover topics including stress managment, the benefits of quitting smoking, methods of quitting smoking, and avoiding a return to smoking.
