There are a lot of great resources to help you, your family, your business and your school prepare for emergencies. We've put some of our favorite links in one place to help you access the information you need.

This is the website of the Ready Campaign of the US Department of Homeland Security. The goal of the site is to educate and empower Americans to prepare for emergencies. The site offers practical suggestions to increase preparedness, including learning about serious threats, making emergency supply kits, creating a family communication plan and keeping emergency phone numbers near the phone.

This is the Emergency Preparedness website of the Georgia's Health Alert Network (HAN). HAN is part of Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, Bioterrorism Preparedness Program. The HAN Network supports preparedness planning, disease surveillance and epidemiologic investigation, electronic laboratory test reporting, emergency communications and professional workforce training.

This is the emergency preparedness site of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The site includes information about health outbreaks as well as practical advice for preparing for natural and man-made disasters. The Preparing and Training section of the Red Cross' website is an excellent tool for emergency preparedness. You can find out about training courses, as well as information about building an emergency kit and developing your emergency plan.

Rx Response is a free public service that works with the American Red Cross, the Departments of Health and Human Services and Homeland Security and state officials to share information to help support the continuing provision of medicines to patients during a severe public health emergency.
