Welcome to the Camden County Health Department where providing top quality public health services is our main mission. We have health clinics conveniently located in Woodbine and St. Marys to better serve the citizens in Camden County. Our clinics provide many services including STD testing and STD treatment. STD testing includes chlamydia testing, gonorrhea testing, syphilis testing and HIV Testing. We provide women services and family planning including pap smears, birth control and pregnancy testing. The range of services offered at the Camden County Health Department helps make our beautiful coastal community a healthier place in which to live and we are proud to serve the people of Camden.

Camden County Health Department Hours to Change Beginning Jan. 3

December 30, 2011 - All Camden County Health Department clinics will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Tuesday, January 3. Previously, hours at the health department locations varied on different days of the week. The new hours of operation are consistent with those in health departments throughout the eight-county Coastal Health District.

Ocean Spray Voluntarily Recalls Some Craisins Products

November 29, 2011 - Ocean Spray today announced it has taken the precautionary measure of voluntarily recalling certain production lots of its Original Flavor Craisins Dried Cranberries product in 5-ounce, 10-ounce and 48-ounce packages as well as bulk sweetened dried cranberries in 10-pound packages due to the possible presence of very small hair-like metal fragments that are unlikely to cause consumer injury. Smuckers Issues Limited Voluntary Recall on Some Natural Peanut Butter Chunky Products

The J.M. Smucker Company today announced a limited voluntary recall on two specific Best-If-Used-By dates of 16 oz. Smucker's® Natural Peanut Butter Chunky because it may be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Department Of Public Health Invites Public Comment on Preventive Health & Health Services Block Grant

October 25, 2011 - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) launched its public comment period for the Preventive Health and Health Services (PHHS) Block Grant application for Federal Fiscal Year 2012 (FFY12). All residents of Georgia are invited to participate by submitting comments during the public comment period. The PHHS Block Grant has been proposed for elimination from the Federal Fiscal Year 2012 budget. However, the Department is preparing a FFY12 application in case funding is restored by Congress during the federal appropriations process.

Kroger Recalls Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream

October 13, 2011 - Kroger is recalling Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream sold in 10 states, including Georgia, because it may contain peanuts not mentioned on the label. The recall involves only 16-ounce pints of the product with a sell-by date of June 18, 2012 and the UPC code 11110 52909. Kroger Co. says shoppers should return the product to supermarkets for a refund or replacement.

October 4, 2011 - Andrew Williamson Fresh Produce has issued a voluntary recall of grape tomatoes. The recall notice is being issued because one "clamshell" container of Limited Edition organic grape tomatoes tested positive for Salmonella. Coastal Health District Seeking Flash Mob Dance Participants

September 30, 2011 - The Coastal Health District is looking for flash mob dancers to help motivate people in southeast Georgia to get up and get moving. The Coastal Health District (Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties) is recruiting those interested in learning the dance routine to Beyonce's "Let's Move: Move Your Body" and then performing as a "flash mob" in their town or city.
