Coastal Health District: National Infant Immunization Week (April 19-26, 2008)
Special Health Department activities for National Infant Immunization week in the Coastal Health District.
BRYAN COUNTY HEATLH DEPARTMENT-Children who signed in for immunizations during National Immunization Week received coloring sheets and crayons.
The LIBERTY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT provided goodie bags and simple quiz sheets to all children receiving immunizations. Children who filled in and returned the quiz were eligible to participate in drawings for two age appropriate gift baskets. Winners of the contest were Kyleigh Crawford and Samuel Morris. Other treats promoting Immunization Week were available at the Community-wide Heatlh Fair on April 19th at the Hinesville First Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In celebration of National Infant Immunization week, the LONG COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT held a KID'S DAY on Thursday, April 10th, during school spring break with immunization materials, games, face painting and health and safety booths. One hundred and sixteen children attended the event. Coloring sheets were also distributed to children who came in for immunizations during that week.
