McIntosh Co. Board of Health Members and Public Health Managers

Public Health Managers:
Nurse Manager: Brooke Deverger, R.N.
Environmental Health Manager: Eric Rumer

Board of Health Members:
The 7 member Board of Health consists of the following representatives:

·Chief Executive Officer of the County Commission or some member designated by said officer
·County Superintendent of Schools
·A physician appointed by the County Commission (actively practicing in county).
·A consumer advocate appointed by the County Commission
·Consumer or licensed nurse interested in promoting Public Health appointed by the Governing Authority of the largest municipality
·Advocate for the County’s needy, underprivileged, or elderly community, appointed by the County Commission
·Chief Executive Office of the governing authority of the largest municipality of the county or some member designated by said officer

The County Commission Chair, County Superintendent of Schools, and the Mayor serve on the Board of Health while in office. All other Board of Health Members serve 6-year terms and may be re-elected.

Griffin Lotson
Chief Executive Officer of the governing authority of the largest municipality of the county or some member designated by said officer.

Jane Walker, R.N.
Consumber or licensed nurse interested in promoting Public Health appointment by the Governing Authority of the largest municipality.

Cyndi Faudree
Appointed by the govering authority of the county shall be a physician actively practicing medicine in the county and licensed under Chapter 34 of Title 43. If there are fewer than four physicians actively practicing in the county or if there is no physician practicing in the county who is willing and able to serve, the governing authority may appoint a person licensed as a nurse or dentist.

Peggy Lee
Consumer representing the County’s needy, underprivileged or elderly community.

Barbara F. Hurst
Consumer, or a person from an advocacy agency or group, which member will represent on the board the county’s consumers of health services, appointment by the County’s Governing Authority.
