Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI)

The purpose of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) is to screen for hearing loss in newborn babies and help babies who do not pass the screening get the services they need. Every newborn in the state of Georgia should have a hearing screening performed before they leave the  hospital. Testing is safe and easy on the newborn and takes very little time.

For more information on EHDI, call 912-644-5804 or e-mail Mesha.Brown@dph.ga.gov.
Our fax number is 912-349-2326.
